7068 aluminum alloy has very high mechanical strength, with a yield strength of 700 MPa (more than 30% higher than 7075 alloy) and good ductility, as well as corrosion resistance similar to 7075. Originally developed as a higher strength replacement for 7075 in ordnance applications. Usually the aging used is T6511 temper, but if applications require higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking, the aging of T76511temper should be used.
